My love for family photos began with the start of my own family, I suddenly realized how ephemeral this time is.

If you’re like me you might end most nights staring at photos of your newborn baby, wishing you had more - realizing you don’t have many all together and wondering if there’s a way you truly can go back in time if only for a day.

Family photos more than anything are our legacy, they’re also our children's legacy. They’re the photos that generations will come back to time and time again. Let’s make them count.

My approach:

Family photos should be more than just beautiful images, they should tell your story and be true glimpses through a window in time. I want everyone to feel free to be exactly who they are in that moment. All because I want you to be able to look back on these photos for years to come and think to yourself, “Yes, that’s exactly how it was —that’s the magic and beauty of what our life was like.”

Family photos will always be a collaboration in order to celebrate who you are as a family. We’ll work together beforehand to make sure our time is spent capturing the things YOU love most about each other. The tiny details you never want to forget are so important to me.

I take a very documentary approach to family photos - I find the less I interfere while photographing you the more your family is able to truly shine.

    I met Amanda when she photographed a best friend’s wedding. She immediately made everyone feel comfortable and was amazing at getting natural, organic shots, for both the couple and for the larger group. I liked her so much we ended up asking her to do maternity photos for us and I’m so glad I did! They are STUNNING and I treasure them constantly. Amanda made me feel confident despite being in a new body with a big bump. She was also easy to communicate with and helpful in picking out when/where to take photos.     We did a family photo shoot in our garden and it was magical. I shared with Amanda my vision- a candid shoot that felt authentic, and a snapshot in my garden of our personalities. I didn’t want coordinated outfits, perfectly curated shots- I wanted whatever genuine interactions and pictures we got, with hopefully a few smiles captured. And WOW, did she deliver 😭😍 Amanda also was extremely flexible with rescheduling our shoot after a death in the family followed by the birth of our 3rd. We now have decided we will do this annually in the garden. These photos are such a gift to us. It was a beautiful day, and my kids loved her. She was so patient with my toddlers, and our newborn needed to be fed and was a bit overtired. Amanda was patient and so kind with me needing to repeatedly take breaks to feed her, and rest.
